Seoul Skin Clinic Prices: What Koreans Actually Pay (October 2026)

The short answer

Koreans do not pay list price. Almost every Seoul clinic sells treatments through first-visit event prices that are 30–49% below the posted "regular" price, and those event prices are public. If you are quoted a number that is far above the ranges below, you are probably looking at a foreigner package, which is usually the same treatment with a 20–30% agency fee built in.

All prices below are in Korean won, VAT included (10%), and are the prices a Korean walking in off the street would pay at a first visit. Exchange reference: ₩1,000 ≈ US$0.70 ≈ ¥105 ≈ NT$23 (early October 2026; check the day's rate).

How much do skin treatments cost at a dermatology clinic in Seoul?

Less than most visitors expect for injectables and energy devices, and about the same as home for imported filler. The pattern across 158 published prices:

Why is the same treatment ₩250,000 at one clinic and ₩660,000 at another?

Five things move the price, and a quote that does not state all five is not comparable to anything.

  1. Product. Imported HA (Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero) vs Korean HA. Allergan or Xeomin vs Botulax or Coretox. In the collected data, imported filler costs roughly 2× Korean filler.
  2. Quantity. Filler is sold per cc (0.5, 1, 2). Ultherapy and Thermage per shot (100 / 300 / 600 / 900). Thread lifts per thread (1 to 14). Botox in Korea is sold per area, not per unit: the doctor adjusts the dose to your muscle and wrinkle pattern, and because toxin is cheap here the unit count does not move the price. The question to ask is not how many units but which product.
  3. Who injects. Some clinics list "대표원장 직접 시술" (performed by the head doctor) as a separate item. How much it changes the price varies by clinic and cannot be generalized; many clinics have the head doctor inject at the same price. Check only that the quote says who will perform the treatment.
  4. What is included. Retouch (리터치) within 2–4 weeks, numbing cream, sleep sedation (수면마취) for devices, post-care. Some ₩600,000 Ultherapy prices include sedation; some ₩300,000 prices do not.
  5. First visit or not. The low end of every range above is a first-visit event price. Repeat and regular prices can differ. One Gangnam clinic lists the same Ultherapy 100 shots at ₩279,000 (new patient) and ₩390,000 (regular).

Is there a separate price for foreigners?

By law, no. Korean clinics must publish non-covered (비급여) prices and charge the same amount to everyone. In practice, foreigners pay more in two ways that are not technically "foreigner pricing":

The fix is simple: ask for the event price (이벤트가) and book the same way a Korean would. That is what this site exists to do.

What is actually included in a Korean quote?

Line item Usually included? Ask
VAT 10% Platform event prices: yes. Clinic websites: often no ("VAT 별도") "VAT 포함인가요?"
Consultation Yes if you proceed same day; some charge ₩10,000–30,000 if you do not "상담비 있나요?"
Numbing cream Yes for injectables —
Sleep sedation for Ultherapy / Thermage Varies; charged separately when not included "수면 포함인가요?"
Retouch (filler) Varies; listed as 리터치 포함/불포함 "리터치 포함인가요?"
Product opened in front of you Standard at reputable clinics; ask if not offered "정품 개봉 보여주세요"
Tax refund (foreign visitors) Only at clinics registered for the refund scheme; a sign that the clinic is set up for foreign patients "택스리펀 되나요?"

Frequently asked

Can I get the event price as a foreigner? Yes. Event prices are not restricted by nationality. You need to know they exist and ask for them, or book through someone who books the Korean way.

Why does my friend's quote from an agency not match this page? Add 20–30% to any number here and you will usually land on the agency quote. That is the agency's fee, not the clinic's price.

Is the cheapest clinic a bad clinic? Not necessarily, but for a visiting patient the lowest price is usually not the best choice, for three reasons. First, with injectables an unusually low price can mean a concentration or volume that differs from what you expect, and you have no way to verify it. Second, even when the product is exactly as advertised, a low-price clinic has to see many patients to make its margins, so consultation and treatment are rarely tailored to you. Third, once you fly home you cannot easily come back for a correction, so getting it done properly once is cheaper in the end. Also note that the ₩255,000 Ultherapy is a 100-shot trial; a full face is 300–600 shots.

Do I need an agency to book? No. Most clinics in the areas above take WhatsApp or LINE inquiries directly, and many have Japanese- or English-speaking staff. An agency is useful for translation and logistics, not for price.

Are Korean-made fillers and toxins safe? Yes. They are KFDA-approved and used by most Korean patients. Your doctor should explain which product suits the area.
